Elizabeth writes: “The last time my cat was on the evolution vegetarian dry cat food diet, he developed a urinary track problem & had a blocked bladder. It was very scary. I followed the advice of the vet & put him back on an ‘animal’ prescription dry cat food. He’s been on this for over a year now & has had no problems, but it is killing me to be supporting the killing of other animals. I’m afraid if I switch him back to the evolution diet that he was have another blocked bladder.
Are their any prescription vegetarian dry foods out there for cats prone to urinary problems? My vet doesn’t know of any. I look forward to hearing from you.”
I know many options have been discussed here in the past, but I don’t recall seeing any prescription options. Anyone got any leads?
